Party Time!
We made lots of yummy things to eat...snowmen, Christmas trees and reindeer. We watched the Polar Express and drank hot chocolate.
I gave each cowpoke a gift...made especially for them!
They each got a fleece scarf to keep them warm!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas
We received a special package with the return address of the North Pole. It was even COLD! Inside the package was our new elf straight from Santa. His name is Jingles and he sits on top of our SmartBoard and watches us. Every night he reports back to Santa on our behavior. The first night he brought back the Elf on a Shelf movie starring himself! Merry Christmas!!!

Happy Halloween! The Cowpokes have been very busy with our pumpkin unit. We created a graph to decide our jack-o-lantern's face.
After our pumpkin was carved, we made it ooze!

We are very lucky to have an outdoor learning center at our school! A garden volunteer read us the book "Bats on the Beach". After the book, Ms. Landsley showed us a flower that looks like the face of a bat! Each student got to take a flower back to the classroom and put it in their

Our Farm Unit and Smartboard
The kids have been SO busy! They LOVE the SmartBoard and are becoming technology masters!!
We began our farm unit by creating farmer self-portraits and writing the sight word "the".
We read THE THREE LITTLE PIGS, then made pig pouches to sequence the story. Ask your child about the wolf. It was their favorite character!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!
We are participating in an alphabet exchange with other students throughout the country. We were assigned the letter "A" and each student created an apple out of it. Today we received our first letter from a school in Allen, Texas. They sent us the letter "M" decorated with monkeys. Using Google Maps, we found Allen.
Today, I will mail our letters to the different schools.
